Using Slideshare as Educational Technology

Slideshare is a practical website for teachers and students.  It’s useful for anyone who works with powerpoint.  Slideshare allows you to share your powerpoint presentations with others or use presentations that are already uploaded.  Think of it as youtube for powerpoint.

I think it would be particularly useful for teachers who find themselves overworked from bureaucratic duties once in a while and need some fresh ideas. There are innumerable slides under the education category.

Take a look around in slideshare.  I challenge you not to find something that you can use in your class.  I use it for ideas and inspiration to make my own slides.  After perusing powerpoint presentations in slideshare I’m full of teaching ideas.

After looking around you may decide to upload your own powerpoint presentation.  I find it’s also a convenient way to share your presentations with your department, school district, friends &c.
