Anagram–Raga Man!
How many anagrams can you come up with for your name? 5? 10? How about 55,000?
I love using the Internet Anagram Server in class with my students. It’s a great way to assign nicknames. Teachers can also use it as an icebreaker in class to get to know everyone’s name and anagram name.
For example, if you have Jose Garcia in your class 117 anagrams come up such as “Care as I jog.” Groups of students could also try to come up with a sentence based on anagrams of their names.
If you are teaching a lesson on anagrams this is a great introduction. If you want a simple icebreaker for your classroom, the Internet Anagram Server is a useful and educational tool.
