Create and Share Free Crossword Puzzles

crossword
Crossword puzzles are educational technology. What are some ways to integrate them into your classroom? Here are two:

  •  Try creating puzzles for vocabulary words students are studying.
  • Include students in the creative process; have them create puzzles as a review activity for an assessment. While they are creating they will be learning.

Just Crosswords lets you use puzzles that have already been created, but the feature I like most is that you are able to create your own puzzles. You can then share the puzzle by directing students to a web address (which I did below), printing it, emailing it, or copy and pasting it (HTML) onto a website or blog. Its an easy site to use. Let me know how you do on our puzzle, the theme is Chicago sports teams.
